Dental Implants in Turkey — Permanent, Natural-Looking, and Up to 70% Less Than UK Prices

Nobel Biocare & Straumann implants. Written 5-year guarantee. Everything included — hotel, transfers, aftercare.

A dental implant is the closest thing to a natural tooth that modern dentistry can offer. If you’ve been quoted an unaffordable price in the UK — or told you’ll have to manage with a denture — this page is worth reading.

We’ve helped 500+ patients replace missing teeth in Turkey. Here’s exactly what’s involved, what it costs, and what you can expect from start to finish.

What Is a Dental Implant?

The permanent solution for a missing tooth

A dental implant is a small titanium post — roughly the size of a natural tooth root — that is placed directly into the jawbone. Over the following weeks, the implant fuses with the surrounding bone in a process called osseointegration. Once fully integrated, a custom-made crown is attached on top, creating a tooth that looks, feels and functions like the real thing.

Unlike dentures, implants are fixed in place. Unlike bridges, they don’t require the surrounding teeth to be ground down. They don’t slip. They don’t require adhesive. You brush and floss them like your natural teeth.

With proper care, a dental implant can last a lifetime.

Who is a good candidate for a dental implant?

Most adults with a missing tooth — or a tooth that needs to be removed — are suitable candidates for an implant. The key requirements are:

  • Sufficient jawbone density to support the implant (assessed via X-ray or 3D CT scan)
  • Healthy gums — active gum disease is treated before implant placement
  • Good general health — certain conditions are assessed individually (see FAQ)
  • Non-smoker or willing to stop smoking around the procedure — smoking significantly affects healing

If you’re not sure whether you’re a candidate, our free assessment will tell you. Send us a photo and any existing X-rays — we’ll review your case within 24 hours.

Why Get Your Implant in Turkey?

The same implant. A fraction of the price.

The titanium post going into your jaw in Turkey is the same Nobel Biocare or Straumann implant your UK dentist uses. The ceramic crown is made from the same Ivoclar e.max or zirconia material. The clinical process is identical.

The difference is not quality. It’s the cost of running a dental practice in Turkey versus London, Manchester or Birmingham.

How Your Implant Treatment Works — Day by Day

Implant treatment in Turkey typically takes 4–5 days for a single implant, completed in one visit.

Step 1 — Before You Travel (Online)

You send photos and any existing X-rays via WhatsApp or our form. Our coordinator reviews your case with the clinic and confirms your suitability. You receive a treatment plan and full cost breakdown — before you pay anything.

Step 2 — Day 1: Arrival & Welcome

When you land in Turkey, your driver meets you at the airport. You’re taken to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may have a brief orientation call with your coordinator the same evening. No rushing. No stress.

Step 3 — Day 2: Full Clinical Assessment

Your first clinic appointment is a thorough assessment — not the procedure itself.

  • Panoramic X-ray (new, high-resolution)
  • 3D CT scan to assess bone volume, density and implant positioning
  • Full oral health examination
  • Confirmation of your treatment plan
  • Any questions answered directly by your treating dentist

Nothing begins without your understanding and consent.

Step 4 — Day 2 or 3: Implant Placement

Under local anaesthesia, the titanium implant fixture is placed into the prepared site in the jawbone. The procedure typically takes about an hour per implant.

Most patients report being surprised by how comfortable the procedure is. Sedation is available for anxious patients — ask your coordinator when booking.

A temporary healing cap or provisional crown is placed while the implant begins to integrate.

Note on same-day crowns: In straightforward cases with sufficient bone density, a provisional crown may be placed the same day as the implant. This is confirmed during your Day 1 assessment — not assumed in advance.

Step 5 — Day 3 or 4: Crown Fitting

Once the implant has been confirmed stable, your custom crown is fabricated and fitted. Shade matching was completed at your Day 1 assessment, so the crown is already in production.

The crown is checked for fit, bite alignment and aesthetics. Minor adjustments are made chairside. You leave with a fully functional, natural-looking tooth.

Step 6 — Final Review & Sign-Off

Before you fly home, a brief final appointment confirms everything is settled, your bite is correct and you’re comfortable with aftercare.

You receive:

  • Full clinical notes and X-rays in English
  • Implant brand certificate and batch number
  • Written 5-year guarantee document
  • Aftercare guide — what to eat, what to avoid, and for how long
  • Your dentist’s direct contact for any future queries

Step 7 — Home & Beyond

Your UK dentist can monitor the implant at routine check-ups using your records. We remain available via WhatsApp if you have any questions after you land.

Osseointegration — the full bonding of implant to bone — continues for 3–6 months after placement. This is normal and requires no action on your part.

What Implant Patients Say

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Karen W., Bristol, UK

“I’d been quoted £3,200 for a single implant by my UK dentist. I paid £310 here — including the hotel and airport transfers. The clinic was immaculate. The dentist who placed my implant had been doing this for more than 10 years and spoke excellent English. My UK dentist checked it at my next routine appointment and said it was textbook. I couldn’t be happier.”

Treatment: Single dental implant (Nobel Biocare) · September 2025

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — James H., Sheffield, UK

“I needed three implants after a car accident. The UK quote was close to £10,000. I paid a fraction of that here, and the care was outstanding — better than anything I’d experienced at home, honestly. The coordinator made the whole process feel effortless. I’ve since recommended this to two colleagues who’ve both gone.”

Treatment: 3 dental implants (Straumann) · November 2025

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Emma R., Cardiff, UK

“I’m a nurse, so I went in with a lot of questions about sterilisation, protocols and materials. Every single question was answered before I’d even booked. The clinic passed every check I threw at it. The implant itself is flawless — six months on and I forget it’s even there.”

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the implant procedure actually take?

The placement procedure itself typically takes about 1 hour per implant under local anaesthesia. Your total time in the clinic on procedure day — including preparation, the procedure and post-procedure checks — is usually 2–3 hours. Most patients are back at their hotel by early afternoon.

Is the procedure painful?

The placement is performed under local anaesthesia — you will feel pressure and movement, but not pain. Some patients experience mild soreness and swelling for 2–3 days afterwards, managed comfortably with standard over-the-counter pain relief. Ibuprofen and paracetamol are typically sufficient. Most patients describe the post-procedure discomfort as noticeably less than they expected.

What if I don’t have enough bone for an implant?

Insufficient bone is common — and in most cases, treatable. A bone graft can build up the required volume before or at the time of implant placement. A sinus lift is used for upper back teeth where the sinus cavity limits available bone. Both procedures are assessed and priced before you travel. We will tell you clearly if your case requires either.

How long do dental implants last?

A dental implant placed correctly, in healthy bone, with good oral hygiene, can last a lifetime. The titanium fixture rarely fails. The crown on top — like any crown — may need replacement after 10–15 years through normal wear. Our guarantee covers the implant fixture for 5 years. Regular maintenance significantly extends the life of both.

Can I have an implant if I have diabetes, heart disease or take blood thinners?

Many patients with these conditions have implants successfully. The key is full disclosure at the assessment stage. Uncontrolled diabetes and certain blood-thinning medications require specific protocols — these are assessed individually by the treating dentist before treatment is confirmed. We will never proceed if the clinical risk is unacceptable.

Do I need to stop smoking before treatment?

Smoking significantly impairs healing and increases the risk of implant failure — this is consistent across all published clinical data. We strongly recommend stopping smoking for at least 2 weeks before placement and 8 weeks after. Your dentist will advise on this at assessment. We do not refuse treatment to smokers, but we will be honest about the increased risk.

Will my UK dentist be able to maintain the implant?

Yes. You receive your implant brand, model and batch number in your post-treatment pack. Any UK dentist can identify and maintain the implant accordingly. Nobel Biocare and Straumann implants are among the most widely used systems in UK dentistry — your dentist is familiar with them.

What happens if the implant fails?

Implant failure — while uncommon — does occur. Our written guarantee covers implant failure caused by clinical factors within 5 years of placement. If your implant fails within this period, we arrange a replacement at no cost to you, including the procedure and materials. See our full Guarantee Policy for exact terms.
