Porcelain Veneers
Staining, chips, gaps, uneven teeth — corrected in 5–7 days. E.max and zirconia veneers at up to 70% less than UK prices.
You know exactly what you want your smile to look like. You’ve probably had that image in your mind for years. What’s stopped you isn’t the decision — it’s the price.
Porcelain veneers in the UK cost between £700 and £1,000 per tooth. For a full set of ten, that’s up to £10,000 — before consultations, temporaries or any additional work.
In Turkey, the same veneers — the same e.max ceramic, the same precision shade-matching, the same internationally trained dentists — start from £200 per veneer.
This page explains exactly what veneers involve, who they’re for, how the process works across your 5–7 days here, and what everything costs — with nothing left out.
What Are Porcelain Veneers?
Ultra-thin ceramic shells that transform the appearance of your teeth
A porcelain veneer is a custom-made, wafer-thin shell of ceramic — typically between 0.3mm and 0.7mm thick — bonded to the front surface of a tooth. It changes the tooth’s colour, shape, length and surface texture, while leaving the majority of the natural tooth structure intact.
Veneers correct a wide range of cosmetic concerns in a single treatment:
- Staining and discolouration — including staining that whitening cannot address (tetracycline, fluorosis, intrinsic discolouration)
- Chips and cracks — minor structural damage affecting appearance
- Gaps between teeth — closed without orthodontic treatment
- Uneven or misshapen teeth — reshaped to create symmetry
- Slightly crooked teeth — the appearance of alignment, without braces
- Worn or short teeth — length and proportion restored
The result is a permanent improvement in the appearance of your smile — using material that mimics the light-reflecting properties of natural tooth enamel more closely than any other restorative option.
Who is a good candidate for porcelain veneers?
Porcelain veneers are suitable for adults who:
- Are unhappy with the appearance of their smile due to any of the concerns listed above
- Have healthy teeth and gums (active decay or gum disease is treated before veneers)
- Are not heavy teeth-grinders (bruxism) — or are willing to wear a night guard to protect their veneers
- Understand that veneers involve minimal, irreversible preparation of the tooth surface — and are comfortable with this
Veneers are a cosmetic treatment. They are not designed to replace structurally damaged teeth or restore heavily decayed teeth — zirconia crowns are more appropriate in those cases.
Why Get Your Veneers in Turkey?
The same ceramic. A fraction of the price.
The e.max or zirconia used for your veneers in Turkey is manufactured by the same global brands used in UK cosmetic dental practices — Ivoclar Vivadent, Vita Zahnfabrik. The fabrication is carried out in a modern dental laboratory using digital CAD/CAM technology. The shade-matching process is identical.
The difference is not material quality or clinical skill. It is the cost of operating a dental practice in Turkey versus the UK.

How Your Veneer Treatment Works — Day by Day
Porcelain veneers in Turkey are completed in 5–7 days, in a single visit.
Before You Travel — Smile Assessment (Online)
You send a photo of your smile — a straight-on photo in natural light is enough to start. Our coordinator shares this with the cosmetic dentist, who assesses your case and comes back with:
- An honest view on whether veneers are appropriate for your specific teeth
- How many veneers are recommended — and why
- A digital smile preview (in selected cases, before you travel)
- A full cost breakdown, itemised by tooth
This assessment is free. It commits you to nothing.
Day 1 — Arrival in Turkey
Your driver meets you at the airport. You’re taken directly to your hotel. Your coordinator confirms your clinic schedule for the following morning.
Day 2 — Smile Design & Consultation
Your first clinic appointment is dedicated entirely to design and planning.
- Full examination of your teeth and gums
- High-resolution photos and shade mapping
- Digital Smile Design (DSD) — a digital preview of your proposed result, visualised on your own face before anything is touched
- Discussion of shape, length, shade and the number of veneers
- Final confirmation of your treatment plan
This is your creative session. You tell the dentist what you like, what you don’t, what you’ve seen that you love. Nothing is fixed until you’re satisfied with the design.
Most patients find this appointment the most enjoyable of the process.
Day 3 — Tooth Preparation & Temporaries
Once the design is agreed, treatment begins.
Preparation: A minimal amount of enamel is removed from the front surface of each tooth — typically 0.3mm to 0.5mm. This creates the surface to which the veneer bonds and ensures the final result is flush and natural. Local anaesthesia is used throughout. The procedure is not painful.
Impressions: Digital impressions (or traditional impressions in selected cases) are taken and sent to the dental laboratory, where your custom veneers are fabricated.
Temporaries: High-quality temporary veneers are bonded to your prepared teeth. They look very similar to your final veneers and allow you to wear — and approve — a version of your new smile before the permanent ones are fitted.
You leave Day 3 with temporary veneers in place. Most patients go straight out to dinner.
Day 4 — Rest & Optional Sightseeing
The laboratory needs 1–2 days to fabricate your final veneers. This day is yours. Turkey has beaches, culture, cuisine, shopping and history — your coordinator can suggest what’s worth your time.
Some patients experience mild sensitivity during this period. This is normal and passes once the final veneers are bonded.
Day 5 — Final Veneer Fitting
Your permanent porcelain veneers arrive from the laboratory. This appointment involves:
- Temporary veneer removal
- Trial placement of each veneer — shade check, fit check, bite alignment
- Any shade or shape adjustments made before permanent bonding
- Permanent bonding using dental-grade adhesive
- Final polish and bite check
This appointment typically takes 2–3 hours depending on the number of veneers.
You leave with your final smile.
Day 6 — Final Review & Departure
A brief check appointment before you fly. The dentist confirms your bite is comfortable, your veneers are fully settled and you’re happy with every aspect of the result. Any last minor adjustments are made.
You receive:
- Post-treatment photos for your records
- Veneer material and shade certificates
- Written 3-year guarantee document
- Aftercare guide — what to avoid, how to maintain, what to expect
- Your dentist’s direct contact for any future queries

E.max Porcelain Veneers
From £200 per veneer · Ivoclar e.max lithium disilicate, layered
E.max (lithium disilicate ceramic) is the material of choice for front teeth veneers. Its translucency is closer to natural enamel than any other ceramic — producing the most natural-looking result available.
Zirconia Veneers
From £150 per veneer · Vita Zahnfabrik high-translucency zirconia
High-strength zirconia veneers offer superior durability for patients with stronger bite forces or mild grinding habits. Slightly less translucent than e.max — best suited to patients prioritising longevity over maximum aesthetics.
Composite Veneers
From £125 per veneer · direct composite, single appointment
Composite veneers are applied directly to the tooth surface without laboratory fabrication. They are completed in a single appointment, at lower cost, but are less durable and less natural-looking than porcelain options. Best suited to patients wanting an introduction to veneers, or with a limited budget for selected teeth.

How Many Veneers Do I Need?
This is one of the most common questions — and the answer depends on your smile line (how many teeth show when you smile naturally). Most patients treat between 6 and 10 teeth. Your smile assessment will tell you exactly.
The Ceramics Behind Your Veneers
The material your veneers are made from determines how natural they look, how long they last, and how they behave under light. Not all ceramics are equal.
Ivoclar e.max (Lithium Disilicate)
The global benchmark for porcelain veneer fabrication. e.max is manufactured by Ivoclar Vivadent — a Swiss dental materials company whose products are used in cosmetic practices across Europe, the US and the UK.
Why e.max leads the category:
- Translucency: Lithium disilicate transmits light in a way that closely mimics natural enamel. Under different lighting conditions — office light, daylight, evening light — e.max veneers behave like natural teeth. Composite and lower-grade ceramics do not.
- Strength: Despite being ultra-thin, e.max has a flexural strength of approximately 400 MPa — strong enough to withstand normal biting forces on front teeth.
- Shade stability: e.max does not discolour over time. The shade you select on Day 2 is the shade you have in 10 years.
- Biocompatibility: Fully accepted by surrounding gum tissue without irritation.
What you receive: Shade certificate, material documentation and Ivoclar batch reference — included in your post-treatment pack.
Vita Zahnfabrik Zirconia
A leading German dental ceramic brand with over 70 years of manufacturing history. Vita zirconia is used for patients where strength is the priority — patients with heavier bites, mild bruxism, or who simply want the most durable option available.
Properties:
- Higher fracture resistance than e.max
- Modern high-translucency formulations have closed the aesthetic gap significantly
- Available in a full shade range — shade-matched to your natural teeth or your target shade
Digital CAD/CAM Fabrication
Your veneers are not hand-crafted from scratch by a single technician. They are designed digitally — using 3D scan data from your impressions — and milled from a solid block of ceramic by a CNC milling machine. This means:
- Micron-level precision in fit and thickness
- Consistent shade throughout the veneer (not just the surface)
- Exact reproducibility — if a veneer ever needs replacing, the specifications are on file
The final polishing and characterisation is carried out by a skilled dental ceramicist — the human element that produces the subtle surface details that make a veneer look like a tooth, not a ceramic shell.
Shade Matching
Shade selection is carried out under calibrated lighting conditions using the Vita Classical or Vita 3D-Master shade guide — the same guides used in UK cosmetic practices. Photos are taken for reference and shared with the laboratory alongside the digital impression.
Your shade record is included in your post-treatment documentation. If a veneer ever needs replacement — anywhere in the world — this record means the new veneer can be matched to the rest.

Emma R., 41 — UK
Treatment: 10 e.max porcelain veneers Concerns: Tetracycline staining, uneven lengths, gap between front teeth Duration: 5 days Material: Ivoclar e.max Saved vs. UK quote: £6,000
“I’d been embarrassed about my teeth my whole adult life. I’d been quoted £8,500 in London. I paid £2000 in Turkey — including the hotel and flights were separate but cheap. The result is better than I imagined. People ask if they’re real.”
James K., 35 — UK
Treatment: 8 e.max porcelain veneers Concerns: Discolouration, chips on upper front teeth, slightly uneven Duration: 5 days Material: Ivoclar e.max Saved vs. UK quote: £5,500
“My UK dentist told me veneers would damage my teeth. The dentist in Turkey spent a long time explaining that minimal-prep veneers preserve the tooth — and then showed me exactly how little enamel was removed. I went home and checked online. She was right. My UK dentist was wrong.”
Lisa B., 47 — UK
Treatment: 6 zirconia veneers Concerns: Gaps and short teeth — self-conscious smiling in photos Duration: 4 days Material: Vita Zirconia Saved vs. UK quote: £3,800
“Genuinely the best money I’ve spent in my life. I smile in every photo now. I never used to. My friends noticed immediately — but couldn’t work out what was different. They thought I’d lost weight or changed my hair. That’s the point, isn’t it? They look real.”
What Veneer Patients Say
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Sophie T., UK
“I want to be specific so this is actually useful. I had 10 e.max veneers — upper and lower front teeth. The Digital Smile Design session on Day 2 was brilliant — I could see exactly what my smile would look like before they touched my teeth. The shade I chose (A1) is exactly what was delivered. I’m 6 months post-treatment. No sensitivity, no issues, constant compliments. My colleague had hers done last month on my recommendation.”
Treatment: 10 e.max veneers · September 2025
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Rachel M., UK
“I was nervous about the preparation — everyone online makes it sound terrifying. It wasn’t. I felt nothing. The temporaries they put on looked so good I was almost sad to have them replaced. Almost. The finals are stunning. I cried happy tears at the fitting. I’m not a crier.”
Treatment: 8 e.max veneers · November 2025
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Daniel H., UK
“The whole trip was genuinely enjoyable. Turkey is beautiful — I had two full days to explore between appointments. The clinic was unlike any dentist I’d been to before. The coordinator was fantastic. And the veneers? I get asked about them every single week. Worth every penny.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Will veneers damage my teeth?
This is the most common concern — and it deserves a direct answer. Traditional veneers require the removal of a small amount of enamel (0.3mm–0.5mm) from the front surface of the tooth. This is irreversible — once removed, enamel does not grow back. However, it is minimal: roughly the thickness of a contact lens. Modern minimal-prep and no-prep veneer techniques reduce this further in suitable cases. The preparation does not weaken the tooth structurally. It does mean veneers — or some form of covering — will always be needed on those teeth. This is explained in full at your consultation before anything is agreed.
How long do porcelain veneers last?
E.max porcelain veneers, properly placed and maintained, typically last 10–15 years with proper care before requiring replacement. Some last longer. Longevity is affected by oral hygiene, grinding habits (a night guard extends lifespan significantly), diet and whether the underlying teeth remain healthy. Our written guarantee covers 3 years. Beyond that, routine maintenance with your UK dentist keeps them in optimal condition.
Will they look natural?
Yes — when the shade and shape are chosen well. E.max veneers, specifically, transmit light in a way that closely resembles natural enamel. The Digital Smile Design session before treatment ensures you approve the shape and shade before anything is committed. The most natural-looking results come from choosing a shade that complements your skin tone — not necessarily the brightest white available. We’ll guide you on this honestly.
Can veneers fix crooked teeth?
For mildly crooked or uneven teeth, veneers can create the appearance of alignment without orthodontic treatment. They cannot correct significant misalignment — in those cases, orthodontics first (or instead) is the honest recommendation. Your smile assessment will tell you clearly which applies to your situation.
Do veneers stain?
Porcelain veneers do not stain — the ceramic surface is non-porous and highly resistant to pigmentation from coffee, tea, red wine and tobacco. The bonding resin used to attach the veneer can show minor staining at the margins over time, but this is not visible under normal circumstances. Composite veneers do stain — this is one of the key differences between the two options.
I grind my teeth — can I still have veneers?
Yes, with the right precautions. A night guard is strongly recommended — it protects the veneers from the lateral forces generated by grinding, which differ from normal biting. Without a night guard, grinding significantly increases the risk of veneer fracture over time. This is discussed at your consultation. The night guard is a small additional cost — worth every penny.
What is the difference between veneers and crowns?
A veneer covers only the front surface of a tooth. A crown encases the entire tooth. Veneers require less preparation and preserve more of the natural tooth structure — but they are primarily a cosmetic solution. Crowns are used where a tooth is structurally compromised, heavily filled or needs full-surface protection. Some teeth that appear to need veneers actually benefit more from zirconia crowns — your dentist will advise honestly based on your X-rays and examination.
What happens if a veneer chips or comes off?
Porcelain veneer fracture is uncommon under normal use. If a veneer chips or debonds within the guarantee period for a covered reason, we arrange replacement at no cost. If it occurs outside the guarantee period, or due to trauma or grinding without a night guard, repair or replacement is arranged at cost. Your dentist’s direct contact is in your post-treatment pack — contact them first, then us. See our full Guarantee Policy for exact terms.
