Smile Makeover

Not a template. Not a fixed package. A personalised combination of treatments — designed around exactly what your smile needs.

Most people who want a better smile have more than one concern. Staining on some teeth. A chip on another. A gap. A crown that no longer matches. A missing tooth at the back that’s been there for years.

A smile makeover is not a single treatment — it is a coordinated plan that addresses all of these concerns together. The right combination of veneers, crowns, whitening, implants or other treatments — sequenced correctly, designed as a whole, and delivered in Turkey at a fraction of what any of them would cost individually in the UK.

This page explains how a smile makeover works, how the treatment plan is built around your specific teeth, and what everything costs — before you speak to anyone.

What Is a Smile Makeover?

A coordinated treatment plan — built around your specific concerns

A smile makeover is not a product name. It is a clinical approach: the assessment of everything that concerns you about your smile, followed by a personalised plan that addresses each concern with the most appropriate treatment — and sequences those treatments in the correct clinical order.

The treatments involved in a smile makeover vary from patient to patient. A plan for one person might include:

  • Veneers on the six front teeth
  • A crown on a heavily filled premolar
  • Whitening on the remaining natural teeth
  • A single implant to replace a missing tooth at the back

A plan for another might include:

  • Eight zirconia crowns on teeth that are too compromised for veneers
  • Gum contouring to correct an uneven gum line
  • Composite bonding on two teeth with minor chips

There is no fixed content. The makeover is defined by what your teeth actually need — not by a menu you pick from.

How is a Smile Makeover different from a Hollywood Smile?

The distinction is one of emphasis rather than a strict clinical boundary.

A Hollywood Smile refers specifically to a complete aesthetic transformation of the full smile — typically covering 8–10 teeth with premium ceramic veneers or crowns, designed to a high cosmetic specification. It is the maximum aesthetic outcome.

A Smile Makeover is broader in scope and more flexible in content. It may include the same treatments — or it may combine cosmetic treatments with restorative ones (implants, root canals, structural crowns). It may address 4 teeth or 20. It is defined by the patient’s concerns and clinical needs, not by an aesthetic template.

If you are not sure which applies to you — that is exactly what the free assessment is for.

Who is a Smile Makeover for?

A smile makeover is appropriate for patients who:

  • Have multiple concerns across their smile — not just one tooth or one issue
  • Have a mix of cosmetic and restorative needs — some teeth need appearance improvement, others need structural work
  • Want a coordinated outcome — not individual treatments done in isolation that don’t visually or clinically connect
  • Are ready to address their smile comprehensively rather than incrementally
  • Have healthy gums, or are willing to address gum health before cosmetic treatment begins

Why Have Your Smile Makeover in Turkey?

Multiple treatments. One trip. A fraction of UK costs.

The financial case for combining treatments in Turkey is stronger for a smile makeover than for almost any other treatment — because the savings compound across every procedure in the plan.

A patient needing six veneers, two crowns and whitening might face a UK total of £8,000–£12,000. The same plan in Turkey — with hotel and transfers included — starts from a fraction of that.

How a Smile Makeover Works — From Assessment to Final Result

Because every smile makeover is different, the process begins earlier and involves more planning than a single-treatment visit. Here is how it works.

Before You Travel — Smile Assessment and Treatment Planning (Online)

This stage is more detailed for a smile makeover than for a single treatment — and it matters more.

You send:

  • A front-facing photo of your smile in natural light
  • Close-up photos of any specific concerns (a chip, a gap, a discoloured tooth)
  • Any existing X-rays if you have them
  • A written note of what concerns you — in your own words, with no clinical language required

Our cosmetic dentist reviews everything and builds a preliminary treatment plan:

  • Which teeth need which treatment — and why
  • The recommended materials for each
  • The clinical sequence (some treatments must precede others)
  • A full itemised cost breakdown — treatment by treatment

You receive this in writing before you pay anything or book anything. You can ask questions, request adjustments and take time to consider.

This is not a sales call. It is a clinical plan.

Day 1 — Arrival in Turkey

Your driver meets you at the airport. You’re taken to your hotel. Your coordinator confirms your full schedule — every appointment, every day — so you know exactly what to expect before your first clinic visit.

Day 2 — Full Clinical Assessment and Smile Design

Your first appointment establishes everything that will follow.

Clinical examination: X-rays of all teeth involved in the plan. Assessment of gum health. Pulp vitality testing where relevant. Bite and occlusion analysis. Any clinical findings that differ from the online assessment are discussed openly — and the plan is adjusted if needed, before anything begins.

Smile Design: For plans involving veneers, crowns or significant aesthetic change, Digital Smile Design is used to visualise the proposed outcome on your own face — before any tooth is prepared. You see the shape, length and proportion of your new smile in the design session. You adjust. You approve.

Shade selection: The target shade for your restorations is confirmed under calibrated lighting — guided by your dentist’s recommendation for what will look natural across your specific combination of treatments.

Plan confirmation: By the end of Day 2, every element of your treatment plan is confirmed — what is being done, on which teeth, in which order, with which materials. No surprises from this point forward.

Day 3 — Treatment Begins

The sequence of treatment depends on your specific plan. In most cases:

  • Any extractions or preparatory work (if required) are completed first
  • Implant placement (if included) is performed — implants are placed first, as they require healing time before the crown is attached
  • Tooth preparation for veneers and crowns follows
  • Temporary restorations are placed on all prepared teeth

You leave Day 3 with temporary restorations in place — protecting prepared teeth and maintaining your smile while the laboratory fabricates your final restorations.

Days 4 & 5 — Laboratory Phase and Free Time in Turkey

The dental laboratory requires 2–3 working days to fabricate your crowns and veneers to the confirmed specifications. These days are yours. Turkey has beaches, culture, history, cuisine and shopping — your coordinator can suggest what’s worth your time based on your preferences and recovery needs.

If whitening is part of your plan, it may be scheduled during this window — on natural teeth before the final veneers and crowns are fitted, ensuring consistent shade matching.

Day 5 or 6 — Final Restorations Fitted

Your permanent veneers and crowns arrive from the laboratory. Each restoration is trial-placed before bonding — fit, shade and bite alignment confirmed and adjusted before anything is made permanent. You approve the result explicitly before cementation.

Whitening (where applicable) is finalised. Bite is checked across all restorations. Final polish is applied.

You leave this appointment with your completed smile.

Final Day — Review and Departure Pack

A check appointment before you fly. Any minor adjustments to bite or comfort are made. You receive:

  • Full clinical notes and X-rays in English
  • Material and shade certificates for all restorations
  • Implant brand certificates and batch numbers (where applicable)
  • Written guarantee documents — specific to each treatment
  • Comprehensive aftercare guide covering all treatments in your plan
  • Your dentist’s direct contact for future queries

The Materials Used in a Smile Makeover — and How They Work Together

A smile makeover often involves more than one material — veneers on some teeth, crowns on others, whitening on natural teeth. Ensuring these materials work together visually is as important as the individual quality of each.

Shade Consistency Across Mixed Treatments

When a smile includes both veneers (e.max) and crowns (zirconia), and natural teeth that have been whitened, achieving a consistent shade across all surfaces requires coordination between three separate elements:

  • The whitening shade achieved on natural teeth
  • The ceramic shade selected for veneers
  • The ceramic shade selected for crowns

This coordination is managed at the Day 2 shade selection session — with all three planned simultaneously, rather than sequentially. The laboratory receives a unified shade brief, not separate instructions for each restoration.

The result is a smile that reads as a single, consistent whole — not as a collection of individually treated teeth.

Ivoclar E.max — For Veneers and Anterior Crowns

The benchmark aesthetic ceramic for front teeth. Used where maximum translucency and natural light behaviour are the priority. In a mixed smile makeover, e.max is typically used for visible front teeth where the full aesthetic premium is worth the additional cost.

Vita Zahnfabrik Zirconia — For Posterior Crowns and Strength Cases

Where strength takes precedence over maximum translucency — posterior teeth, heavily loaded teeth, patients with grinding habits — zirconia is the appropriate choice. High-translucency zirconia formulations have closed the aesthetic gap with e.max significantly and can be used on front teeth where both strength and aesthetics are required.

Nobel Biocare / Straumann — For Implants Within a Makeover Plan

Where an implant is part of the smile makeover, the implant fixture is placed first — before veneer or crown preparation on other teeth. The implant crown is shade-matched and designed as part of the overall smile plan, not as an afterthought. The same ceramic material used for adjacent crowns or veneers is used for the implant crown — ensuring visual consistency.

Teeth Whitening — Setting the Baseline

Where natural teeth form part of the final smile, professional whitening establishes the shade baseline before veneer and crown fabrication. Whitening natural teeth first — then shade-matching veneers and crowns to the whitened result — produces a more consistent outcome than whitening after restorations are placed.

The whitening treatment used is Opalescence Boost — a professional-grade peroxide system applied in-clinic, producing results in a single session of about 60–90 minutes.

CAD/CAM Fabrication

All crowns and veneers are digitally designed and precision-milled from certified ceramic blocks. Digital impressions feed directly into the design file — eliminating the manual impression-reading step that can introduce inconsistency in traditionally fabricated restorations. Final characterisation by a dental ceramicist produces the surface detail that makes restorations look like teeth.

Real Smile Makeover Results — Real Patients

Every case below involved multiple treatments — a combination of concerns addressed in a single coordinated visit. These are the results of planning, not of single procedures.

Grace P., 44 — UK

Treatment plan: 6 e.max veneers + 2 zirconia crowns + professional whitening Concerns: Front teeth stained and uneven; two premolars heavily filled and discoloured Duration: 6 days Saved vs. UK estimate: £6,500

“I’d been quoted for veneers at one UK practice and crowns at another — separately. Nobody had looked at my smile as a whole. The dentist in Turkey looked at everything together and produced a plan that made each treatment reinforce the others. The result is consistent in a way I don’t think individual treatments would have achieved.”

Mark L., 52 — UK

Treatment plan: 8 zirconia crowns + gum contouring + whitening Concerns: Multiple heavily restored teeth, uneven gum line, years of gradual deterioration Duration: 7 days Saved vs. UK estimate: £7,000

“I was embarrassed to smile properly — not because of one thing, but because of everything combined. The plan addressed all of it. The gum contouring made the biggest difference I didn’t expect — the symmetry changed my entire smile. I went home looking ten years younger.”

Karen F., 49 — UK

Treatment plan: Hollywood Smile (10 e.max veneers) + 1 dental implant (lower premolar) + whitening Concerns: Cosmetic concerns across the upper arch; missing lower premolar causing bite shift Duration: 7 days Saved vs. UK estimate: £11,500

“The implant and the veneers were handled as one coordinated plan — not two separate treatments. The shade of the implant crown was matched to the veneers before anything was made. Everything connects. I went to Turkey with a complicated situation and came back with a simple result: a smile I’m proud of.”

What Smile Makeover Patients Say

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Steven G., UK

“I want to give a useful review rather than a vague one. I had 6 e.max veneers, 2 zirconia crowns and whitening — planned as a single treatment in Turkey. The coordinator mapped out a 6-day schedule that made clinical sense: whitening first to set the shade baseline, preparation and temporaries next, fittings last. Nothing felt rushed or improvised. The end result is consistent — all the restorations read as the same smile, not as separate procedures. My UK dentist reviewed everything on my return and had no notes.”

Treatment: 6 veneers + 2 crowns + whitening · August 2025

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Aisha K., UK

“I had a missing tooth and several cosmetic concerns — I didn’t think they could be addressed in one trip. They were. Implant placed Day 3, veneers prepared Day 3 also, fittings Day 6. 7 days. Total cost including hotel and everything: £3500. The UK quote for just the veneers alone was £7,000. I keep telling people about this and nobody believes the numbers until they look into it themselves.”

Treatment: 8 veneers + 1 implant · October 2025

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Paul N., UK

“What I appreciated most was that the plan was explained tooth by tooth — why each treatment was recommended for each tooth, what the alternative was, and what the consequence of not treating it would be. I never felt sold to. I felt informed. That’s rare in any dental context, let alone at a fraction of UK prices.”

Frequently Asked Questions

How is a Smile Makeover different from a Hollywood Smile?

In clinical terms, the treatments can be identical — both may involve veneers, crowns, whitening and other procedures. The distinction is one of emphasis. A Hollywood Smile refers specifically to a complete, high-specification aesthetic transformation of the full smile — typically 8–10 teeth, designed to a cosmetic template. A Smile Makeover is defined by the patient’s individual concerns and clinical needs — it may be broader (including implants or restorative work) or narrower (fewer teeth, targeted corrections). If you are not sure which applies to you, the free assessment will tell you clearly.

Can a Smile Makeover include implants?

Yes. If a missing tooth is part of your concerns, a dental implant can be incorporated into your makeover plan. The implant is placed first — on the same day as other preparation work — because it requires healing time before the crown is attached. The crown is shade-matched and designed as part of the overall smile plan. In some cases, a second short visit is required for the final implant crown — this is planned and confirmed before you travel.

What is the clinical sequence — do some treatments have to come before others?

Yes — and this sequencing is one of the key advantages of planning a makeover as a whole rather than treating each concern separately over time. The general order:

  1. Gum treatment (if required) — healthy gums must precede cosmetic work
  2. Extractions (if required)
  3. Implant placement — requires healing before the crown is attached
  4. Endodontic treatment (root canal, if required) — teeth must be stable before crowning
  5. Whitening (on natural teeth) — establishes the shade baseline before restorations are fabricated
  6. Preparation of teeth for veneers and crowns
  7. Final veneer and crown fitting
  8. Implant crown fitting (if osseointegration is confirmed during the same visit)

Your treatment plan specifies the sequence for your specific case. Nothing is left to chance.

How many days will I need to be in Turkey?

Most smile makeovers are completed in 5–7 days. More complex plans — involving implants, multiple treatment types or a larger number of teeth — may require 7–10 days. Your coordinator builds your schedule before you book, so you know the exact number of nights required before you purchase flights.

What if I need a root canal as part of the plan — is that done in Turkey too?

Yes. Root canal treatment in Turkey starts from £120 per tooth — significantly less than UK pricing. If a root canal is identified as necessary during your online assessment or Day 2 examination, it is performed as part of your visit — incorporated into your schedule and priced separately in your itemised quote. We will always tell you if root canal treatment is needed before any preparation begins.

Can I split the makeover across two visits?

Yes — for plans involving implants, a two-visit approach is standard. Implants are placed on Visit 1; the final crown is attached on Visit 2, 3–6 months later once osseointegration is confirmed. Some patients also choose to phase other treatments across two visits for personal or financial reasons. This is planned and agreed at the outset — both visits are scheduled, priced and confirmed before you commit to the first one.

What guarantee applies to a Smile Makeover?

Each treatment within your plan carries its own guarantee — per the terms of our Guarantee Policy. Implant fixtures: 5 years. Zirconia crowns: 3 years. Porcelain veneers: 3 years. You receive a separate guarantee document for each applicable treatment in your plan. One patient with veneers, crowns and an implant receives three guarantee documents — each specific to the treatment and tooth it covers. Full details at our Guarantee Policy.

What happens if I want to add a treatment once I arrive?

If your Day 2 clinical assessment reveals something not identified in the online assessment — a tooth that needs a crown rather than a veneer, for example — this is discussed and agreed before preparation begins. Additional treatments are added to the plan only with your explicit approval, and the additional cost is confirmed before any work commences. We do not add treatments mid-visit without agreement.

Your Smile Has More Than One Concern — Your Plan Should Address All of Them

Most patients who contact us about a smile makeover have been managing their concerns separately — seeing different dentists, getting different quotes, making piece-by-piece decisions that don’t add up to a complete result.

A single coordinated plan — designed around all of your concerns, delivered in one visit — produces a better outcome and costs significantly less than the sum of its parts done individually in the UK.

The free assessment is where that plan starts. Send us your photos, your X-rays if you have them, and a note about what concerns you. Our cosmetic dentist reviews everything and comes back with a full, tooth-by-tooth treatment plan and itemised cost.

No booking required. No payment. No pressure.
